This policy explains what data PaiVidya collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). We aim to collect only what's needed to run the platform and help you learn.

Information we collect
Account information you provide — your name, email, and the role you sign up as (student, instructor, or admin).
Learning activity — courses you enroll in, lessons you complete, quiz results, streaks, coins earned, and badges unlocked. This powers your dashboard, certificates, and leaderboard placement.
Support interactions — the tickets and replies you send through the support center, so we can help and follow up.
How we use it
To deliver the core product: track progress, issue certificates, award coins and badges, and surface relevant courses.
To process payments and instructor revenue share through our payment partners (Stripe and Razorpay). We never store raw card numbers.
To improve the platform with aggregate analytics. We do not sell your personal data.
Certificates and verification
Certificates you earn can be verified at a public URL. The verification page exposes only the data needed to confirm authenticity (course, issue date, and a verification hash) — not your private account details.
Your rights
You can update your profile and notification preferences from your account settings at any time.
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@paividya.com (or use the support center) and we will process the request within a reasonable period.
You also have the right to nominate another person to exercise these rights in the event of death or incapacity.
Data retention and security
We retain learning records while your account is active so your history and certificates stay intact. Access is restricted and traffic is encrypted in transit.
